Overview
Profiles Switcher is designed to be private by default. The application runs entirely on your Mac, and environmental data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Information we collect
The app collects no personal data and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking mechanisms.
Information processed only on your Mac
Profiles Switcher reads signals locally to activate profiles, which may include:
- Current Wi-Fi network name (SSID / BSSID)
- Location and geofenced regions
- Connected Bluetooth devices
- Connected displays, audio devices, USB devices, and mounted volumes
- Power source, lid state, network connections, and IP addresses
- Current date and time
All processing occurs locally and is not transmitted to third parties.
Location and Bluetooth
These permissions are requested only to detect context on your Mac. Data is never stored off-device or transmitted externally.
Your profiles and settings
User-created profiles, rules, and preferences are stored locally within the app's container and are never uploaded.
Diagnostic logs and feedback
You can opt in to share diagnostic information via email. You control whether to include logs, send without them, or cancel entirely. Nothing transmits until you press Send in your mail application.
Public IP address lookup
When using public IP rules, the app contacts ipify.org to determine your network's public IP. This only occurs if you actively use this feature.
Data sharing
No information is shared with third parties except deliberately sent emails and requests to the public IP service when enabled.
Data retention and deletion
No user data is retained on company servers since none is collected.
Children's privacy
Profiles Switcher does not knowingly collect information from children.
